The Cadott Area Historical Society came into being in 1986. Since that time, two museums with some very interesting artifacts are open every Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. excluding holidays. You are welcome to stop in and browse or take a complete tour.

The Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry and Technology was an idea that sprang from local citizens who wanted to record and preserve the history of important, unique and ground breaking innovations in industry and technology that were developed right here in the Chippewa Valley. It opened in May 1998 and now has a variety of exhibits that include the Seymour Cray Supercomputer Collection, Leinenkugel's, Mason Companies Inc., and other area historic exhibits.They also house the largest museum collection of the Cray supercomputers.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 11am to 4pm and Saturdays, 10am to 3pm Admission: Adults $5, Children ages 13-17 $3 and children under 12$1 Group rates are available.

The Cook-Rutledge Mansion is in the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the finest examples of High Victorian Italianate architecture.The Mansion has an interesting history that extends to various parts of Chippewa Falls.
Tour Hours: 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday - Sunday June, July & August.  Group Tours Available Throughout the Year. Christmas Tours: Saturdays & Sundays During the Month of December.
Donations: Adults $5.00-18 years or under $1.00

Stanley Area Historical Museum

The museum houses exhibits on the Northwestern Lumber Company, churches, women's work, children's toys, the Stanley Fire, military displays, an old fashion kitchen, Dr. Mathwig's wildlife display, early industries, a general store, shoe shop, harness maker, railroading and much more. A Logging and Farming Building recognizes the contribution which lumberjacks, farm families and carpenters made to the settlement and growth of the Stanley Area. A wealth of information such as photographs, genealogical data, and relics from the early days of the lumber industry, fur trading, and our native American heritage. Permanent displays include: The Sea Shell Room, The H.S. Allen Room, The Victorian Room, The Lumberfack Room and the Native American Room.
