The Cadott Area Historical Society came into being in 1986. Since that time, two museums with some very interesting artifacts are open every Monday from 9am until 4pm excluding holidays. You are welcome to stop in and browse or take a complete tour.

The Museum interprets a rich, varied history of manufacturing and processing that began in Chippewa Falls in the 1840's and continues today. CFMIT relates the story of industry, as well as telling about the area and people.They house the largest museum collection of the Cray supercomputers. They also offer new and exciting educational programs. Hours: Tuesday - Friday 1-5pm, Saturday- 10am-3pm. Admission: Adults $3, Children 18 and under $1, Group rates are available.

The Cook-Rutledge Mansion is in the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the finest examples of High Victorian Italianate architecture.The Mansion has an interesting history that extends to various parts of Chippewa Falls.
Tour Hours: 2pm and 3pm Thursday - Sunday (June- August). 
Group Tours Available Throughout the Year.
Christmas Tours: Saturdays & Sundays During the Month of December.
Donations: Adults $5.00-18 years or under $1.00

Stanley Area Historical Museum

The museum houses exhibits on the Northwestern Lumber Company, churches, women's work, children's toys, the Stanley Fire, military displays, an old fashion kitchen, Dr. Mathwig's wildlife display, early industries, a general store, shoe shop, harness maker, railroading and much more. A Logging and Farming Building recognizes the contribution which lumberjacks, farm families and carpenters made to the settlement and growth of the Stanley Area. Open June-August, Saturday and Sunday, 1-4pm or call the museum at 715-644-0464. If no one is able to answer the telephone leave a message and someone will get back to you.

A wealth of information such as photographs, genealogical data, and relics from the early days of the lumber industry, fur trading, and our native American heritage.
