Fishing
Chippewa County has 449 lakes totaling 20,027 acres and ranging from 1 to 6,300 acres. Most lakes are small, unnamed pothole lakes located in the scenic moraine area in the northern part of the county. Many smaller lakes do not support a substantial fishery but offer solitude and serenity for those wanting to get away from the crowds. Under Lakes/Streams/Rivers are descriptions of the lakes that provide public access and good fishing opportunities.
