Stanley

The BEST of times start in Stanley....it's true for visitors enjoying Chapman Lake Campground, the Stanley Area Historical Society Museum, unique shops, 15 restaurants and bars, snowmobiling to our motel, using the pool and fitness center at Stanley-Boyd High School and watching the live deer and elk in our local Chapman Park.

Just two blocks from downtown's movie theater, shopping and other services, visitors can drive, hike or bike to the rodeo grounds for June's P.R.C.A. Rodeo or popular tractor and truck pull, as well as July's Lion's Watermelon Festival with classic car show. Plus, Chapman has fishing, volleyball, basetball, tennis and disc golf facilities. Bring a picnic or shop locally for everything you need.  August's citywide yard sales and downtown Art-in-the-Park show bring a variety of artists and artisans from around the state.  Saturday's 8-2 summer farmers market is a treat for cooks and fresh-food lovers of all types and you'll find plants, flowers and crafts there as well.
