New Auburn The Village of New Auburn is a small community of 485 citizens nestled in the northwest corner of Chippewa County. It is also the gateway to the Blue Diamond Vacation Area. The Blue Diamond Vacation Area has many recreational spots for year around activities. The Chippewa Moraine segment of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve is located 9 miles east of New Auburn on Chippewa County Highway M. The focal point of the community is the School District of New Auburn. The school is a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade campus under one roof. The district is currently upgrading its facilities by adding a new Distance Learning Lab, Gymnasium, and many new features to provide an excellent setting for learning for its children and community.
